Starting the Initial Formation Process (1st year)
- This process is intended to follow the spirituality booklet "Du Coeur de Dieu" which is used in the initial stage of meeting, becoming aquainted and sharing with a group or community of the Chevalier Family. For each sheet, it is recommended that a connection be made with the witness statements or references in the booklet. - This process gives a deeper understanding of the spirituality and charism of Fr. Jules Chevalier and of the vocation of lay people in the Church in relation to the Congregations of the Chevalier Family.
- the sheets are an aid for reflection and deeper study with the people who are beginning a formation process. They should help one become acquainted with the spirituality and charism of Fr. Jules Chevalier and of the Chevalier Family today. They also provide the opportunity for sharing and conversion of heart. The sheets are the result of a choice made by the Council of the Laity of the French-Swiss Province. - This formation process is lived out in relation with a community or fraternity of the Chevalier Family.
- Each sheet is intended for a monthly formation meeting. This meeting should be preceeded by a certain preparation (prayer, reading and reflection) and would include a reading of the basic texts taken from "Jules Chevalier: Man with a Mission," by E. J. Cuskelly, msc, and reflection on the questions that prepare the sharing. - Proposed agenda for the monthly meeting: 1) time for prayer together 2) time for sharing based on the questions presented on the sheet 3) time for "further development of the theme" prepared by a member of the host community according to the suggestions on the sheet or from other sources related to the theme and from lived experiences. |
